Andrew woke up with a smile on his face. He had done it. He had married his high school sweetheart. The day before was such a blur. The whole honeymoon would have been a blur if things didnt get out of control.
He rolled over to wrap his arm around her, but she wasnt there. She was walking into the hotel room. From where, no one knows. She might have been running like she always did first thing in the morning. But at the same time it sounded unlikely since she was normal didnt run on Mondays. It was her rest day.
Bethany? Where did you go? I missed you. said Andrew as he was propping herself up on the pillow.
I went running. Needed to stretch my legs.
That was all that she had time to say. Her phone started to ring but she ignored it.
Who was that? Andrew was curious now. Everyone that they knew, they knew that they were on their honeymoon.
No one. I am going to go take a shower. Bethany turned on her heal and quickly went into the bathroom and locked the door.
That didnt seem like her. She always use to just show him her phone so he can check himself. Something was off. He never asked her to show him, but it was easier then having to read off the number sometimes when she was in the middle of something. Something was eating at her.
He decided to try and get it out of her. So he walked over to the door and knocked. No answer. He knocked again. No answer.
He put his ear to the door and heard the shower going but she was talking on the phone with some one. He could only hear her end of the conversation so he didnt really know what was going on.
I told you to stop calling me. Im married now I told you Im married Please stop calling me Fine. Ill meet you at the bar Dont play stupid. You know which bar Fine. Ill call when I am on my way. Bye.
Andrew had no idea what that was about but he needed to know. So he knocked again. This time she answered.
Yes?
May I take a shower with you?
She didnt talk for a few minutes. Maybe he didnt hear her. Maybe she wanted to be alone. But then he heard the door being unlocked and the door opening for him.
Thank you. I love you.
Um yeah. No problem. Love you too.
Is everything ok? Andrew started to become even more worried then he was a few minutes ago.
I will be after I take a shower.
Not once did she look him in the eyes. Even after showering with him. She still couldnt.
Bethany? Something is not right. Talk to me. What is wrong?
N Nothing.
Ok. Something really wasnt right now.
Nothing? It sure sounds like something to me. Andrew didnt know what else to say. He was getting even more and more frustrated the more she didnt talk to him. She usually always talked. So why not now?
Bethany didnt say anything for a little while. She didnt more. It hardly looked like she was breathing. She just stared at the floor and didnt say a word. But Andrew gave her time. Even though he was becoming even more frustrated by the second.
Well, said Bethany at last. You know I love you and wouldnt do anything to hurt you right?
Yes I know that. What does that have to with anything? Andrew was more then worried at this point. He knew what was coming.
Well, at my bachelorette party um there were strippers there and um I slept with one of them.
Andrews heart fell to the floor and busted into a million of pieces. All he could think about was Bethanys lovely body under another man. Kissing another man. Doing all the things to another man that she usually did with him.
After a long pause, Andrew finally had his thoughts together enough to ask, Who was he?
He was nothing to me. I swear. I was drinking and I wasnt thinking clearly. Oh. What have I done? I am so sorry. Please forgive me. Bethany was crying into her hands but he didnt care. He wanted to find that man and talk to him face to face.
Was he the one who called you before we took a shower?
Tears were rolling down her face. Yes.
And you want to go and meet him at the bar?
Yes.
That was not good enough for him. He had to talk to that man now. He couldnt wait anymore.
Call him now. I want to talk to him face to face. Tell him to come here.
Bethany just walked into the other room with her phone in hand. Andrew couldnt move though. He was frozen still from shock and anger.
How could she do this to him, he just married him yesterday, on a beautiful, sunny day in New Orleans. It was what she had always wanted, so he thought.
He knew nothing about her now. All the memories he had of her when they had first met in freshmen year of high school were gone. Every kiss, every hug, every tender heart stopping moment with her was gone and he didnt want them back. He was nothing to her now.
He was so deep in thought that he didnt hear her come back in, didnt hear her talking to him. He didnt even hear the knock on the door. But he did smell another man was in the room now so he looked up and say him. The man his wife slept with.
Anger took over. He was blind. And the next thing he knew, blood was everywhere and the cops where taking him away in handcuffs. His life was over.
