So you did it
You got the prize
Worry about life's fun ways, which are not so fun. But don't worry, life is a curve-ball. “Having” can cause some neurotic-ism, and rightly so. This winning can be just as damaging psychologically as not winning anything. Mark Manson has one whole article on Opportunity Cost. Winning gets comfortable, it feels safe. Now the cost. Krs One on an album said “you have to repeat the things that made you successful to be successful, what made you - you”
Where is the time for a break? There isn't one, there are no gaps in life, or time’s proceeding.
Worried yet? Don't be, you got here so you can do it again
In the original stories of Genies are actually pretty dark. Damn near evil. You get exactly what you want, and it usually kills you. Seems like the original stories were modeled from life in those times. Even free wishes are not free from the price you end up paying. The cartoon movie Aladdin is pretty entertaining, but he was always inconvenienced the entire movie
Rule 1: Don't panic.
Panic makes it more neurotoxic. There are no gaps in people's ambitions, crime, and beating hearts. There is no beginning or end that can be detected in the world's events, and your events are part of the “cue”. The opportunity cost now is repeating what you have been doing, new ideas , and protecting what and where you are now . Military train year around, even when not “officially” engaged in a war. Soldiers bitch, but they know the price if you don't.
Rule 2: don't rise and grind
You can torpedo your own happiness being paranoid. Mark Manson mentioned “Better Problems “, contextually individual. When you can safely , enjoy it. The awareness that it can go just as fast As it came should be a motivator to keep "maintenance” on what you have.
People have had full meltdowns falling from glory, trying to regain it, or doing unethical and illegal to maintain it. Maintaining a life or lifestyle is easy. Be aware, use common sense. As Krs One said , “ what made you - you”. Military training is just maintenance, like any organization.
Rule 3: Change is constant, don't be afraid of new or recalling the past successful habits
“Success brings stress”
Life's oddity to you is just another day of business to the order of nature . Individuals and groups' demises are usually rooted in one or many of their actions. Wrong timing right timing depends on who it affects. Every living and non living thing on this planet and in space seem to be in competition to manifest or stay in manifestation. Do not compete, it is likely your train stops there. Always in some fashion.
Some competitions are far more deadly than others. This makes keeping your “prize” much more pertinent. If lives are involved down to the family level, paranoia or recklessness end in the same result. Inevitable failure.
Not so terrible to have everything you want. This is more of an open gauge. It will change. Time, age, new partner, children affect it. It just requires a watchfulness and practicing in between. Boredom is the Devil's twin. It will keep you entertained. Don't fall for the curse of always wanting more. Humans do it by default, be aware of ambition levels. They can leave you in a ditch. There Is not really a cure. Even aesthetic monks, nuns, and priests want. They are not immune. Just more disciplined. Caveat - most of the time. If they don't get it right all the time, you probably will not. Try not to perfect it, you will run yourself crazy.
Appreciate it, and part of it is a little vigilance on your part in between the good times.
