Whispers at Night

by Katrina

Preface

A very small poetry I did one night, expressing the fear and vulnerable hope of love I feel as I think of him. KRB

Words whisper in my head, the sound I love and dread.

A soft caress, a small bless.

Words which are used to manipulate me, they secretly possess me.

The possible lies which may unfold, are left to be untold.

I store my hope, locked away- But the words unlock it, to take me away

The whispers of promise, a love foretold - leave me helpless, trying to scold.

A dream from a whisper, a glimmer of hope - I see it, I feel it, but fears led to nope

Still, the possessing whispered song continues to sing ~ leading me to dangers, too unsure of everything
