Dear Diary ; Chapter FiveGetting Closer.

Dear diary,What am I doing here? Where do I go from here? My mind's mixed up.Dear Diary, please help me with my thoughts. There's this girl...Adrian came back with a sad look on his face. "What's wrong?" "I miss Joshua..." he said. "Well I'm sorry. You can pick the movie." He walked over to the shelf and picked out a comedy. We put it in and waited for it to load. I sat back against the futon, as Adrian sat back down. I don't know why, but i wasn't too surprised when Emma laid her head on my shoulder and put her arm around me. I smiled to myself. See, Diary? Im getting better at this. I smiled at Adrian who was smiling at me, as if picking on me silently. The movie was over and Adrian got another call. "Hello?" He said. "Really?!" His face lit up. "I love you too." He said and hung up the phone. "Joshua's coming over!" He half yelled. I shook my head. "You know the rules. No sex. No drugs. No violence." I told him. He nodded and raced to get ready for his boy. I laughed as he stumbled out my door and down the stairs. We were finally alone and she looked at me. "I can't believe im so comfortable with you." She told me. I smiled and against my better judgement, kissed her on the cheek. Her face lit up and turned a sort of crimson red. Her eyes, blue, shined as she pushed her shoulder length brown hair behind her ears. She laid against me again, and kissed my cheek. I could hardly believe it. I did it. She likes me. All of a sudden, i heard a bunch of yelling from downstairs. And almost on cue Emma's body tensed up. "They always fight when he gets off work. He's always in a bad mood. They're cute together, just sometimes Joshua doesn't take his medicine. He has a really bad temper."Emma grabbed my arm as i got up to go check on them. "It'll be fine. Just stay here." I told her, walking down the Attic stairs. they were, infact arguing at the bottom of the stairs. A few choice words were said and i interveined. "Guys! What the hell are you fighting about now?" They acted like such kindergardners. Joshua stormed out and my brother of coursed ran after him. That night was the last time my brother saw Joshua. Why? Because as soon as Adrian grabbed Joshua, He turned around and pushed my brother down against the door frame, and started screaming at him, saying he hated being grabbed like that. I told Joshua to get out and he stood up to me and i pushed him back and told him to get out, yet again. He turned around and left. I looked back to my brother, who was crying. "Ren..." I said. My gaze inverted to the top of the stairs, where Emma was standing, face red, total horror in her eyes. Adrian get up and we both walked over to Emma. "I'm sorry you had to see that..." Adrian said. Emma nodded and went back up to the attic. That night we stayed quiet. Not being able to believe that Ren, my baby brother, endured that tonight, from a guy he had been with for over a year. They both fell asleep on me that night. I didn't mind at all.

Now, I know you may be thinking, "Did Emma have a flash back that night? Why didn't Joshua take his medication?" I don't know the answers to these questions. But i guess I'll look into it. We'll see what happens.
