Unexpected

by Jaystone

I can remember the exact moment I seen life leave your fragile soul.

Death comes at us in a strange time,

Unexpected recourse of actions,

Determines the unusual reaction of a father fallen.

As the weather faltered in a spring eve,

You glanced at me,

Your eyes shown the tired shadow of a man you used to be.

Staggering to exit the life, which was hassle

You fell to the ground motionless.

I held you in my arms,

At that very moment,

All the things I hated about you became unrealistic.

No time to express the sentimental good-byes,

You lay there in what I suspect was your last day.

Death came at a strange time,

Rest forever your pain is benign.
